Confidence Is Better Than Comparison

Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness. Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head—Christ. From him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building itself up in love by the proper working of each individual part.

Ephesians 4:13-16

Today we got to sit with Kip Watson who shared so many nuggets of gold for us women that we can't wait to share them with you.

Kip Watson is a licensed Sports Psychologist and Professional Counselor/ Certified High Performance Coach/Former Pro Athlete, Mom of 2 and Fashion Lover. She shared with us how to be better women and not be ruled by our emotions, striving for ourselves and our family to be confident in who we are and basing it on Godly principles that lead to unity and peace.

Get your post-it notes ready because all kinds of "hang-on your mirror" notes are given in how to process, think through and live to be a better women, mom, wife, sister and friend.

Just to give you a preview from our conversation:

  • Confidence is not an emotion. (Yes read that again!!)

  • We cannot be ruled by our emotions.

  • Your kids are not responsible for your emotions. (Some will throw this one out with the baby and the bathwater, which is ironic;))

  • Comparison is deadly to confidence.

  • Focus on things outside your control.

  • Is your kid contaminating the team or contributing to the team.

  • Are you contaminating the family or contributing to the family?

  • Are you leading and displaying God's principles like unity and peace in your home and with your village?

  • Social media - what is it doing to the next generation?

Enjoy the podcast and remember you are made and called to grow in every way. Embrace it! Don't fear it! Find Joy in it!

Don't let fear or angst get in the way of your growth. Let's continue to be amazed by God's biggest blessing in our lives to know God personally and to be known by Him also.
